So a member of the staff here at Toywiz just said that his all-time least favorite band is System of A Down. Can you believe that System of A Down is his go-to bad band? I’m flabbergasted.
What do you people out there think? Is System of A Down really that bad? Is it anyone else’s go-to bad band?

Back to the Future
Thursday, April 30th, 2009Back to the Future has been on TV a lot lately and every time I pass by it, I’m instantly hooked.
Everyone would love to be able to travel time, so the initial attraction to the movie is there. I mean, who hears about a time traveling movie and is like ” Forget that, I don’t want any part of it.”
But it’s not just the fact that it’s a cool concept, the movies were well made.
Michael J. Fox was really at the top of his game and even though there were some changes in the cast from one movie to the other, the other actors didn’t skip a beat.
Beyond that, the writers and producers of the film created multiple time lines and were able to seamlessly go from one time line to another.
Few movies can hold up as well as Back to the Future has, but even as recently as last week, there was a reference to the movie in a TV show (Chuck, for any fans out there.)
Aspiring writers and producers should make sure to check out Back to the Future as a guide on what to do.

Old School Nintendo!
Wednesday, April 29th, 2009Jackalope here reminiscing about the good old 8-bit glory days of Old School Nintendo.
Recently the guys in the office have had Nintendo on their minds.
New controllers and systems that allow you to play your old Nintendo games just came in to the office. Obviously once Nintendo was on the minds of everyone, various opinions were brought up. I brought up the arguments of the merits of Metroid Vs. Megaman and Dragon Warrior Vs. Final Fantasy to a close by announcing my two favorite games for the NES: Faxanadu and Battle of Olympus!
Silence was followed by an emphatic “What are those?” Yes, the prevailing opinion of those that could recall the games were not positive. Sad, really.
So everyone has a strong opinion about NES, here is the chance to voice yours!
New McFarlane figures
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009The new McFarlane Baseball figures (series 24) just arrived today and they really look great.
To look at the figures up close in their new packaging, it’s not hard to picture the players in action, making a diving catch, hitting a home run or striking out another batter.
McFarlane went with some soon to be Hall of Famers and some of the biggest names in the game in Kosuke Fukudome, Mike Lowell, Jimmy Rollins and more.
When every figure in the set is an all-star, it’s pretty clear the figures are a can’t miss!
